Donna Holland is Chief Executive of Rockinghorse Children’s Charity which supports sick and disabled children. The charity provides live-saving medical equipment, children friendly environments, funds ground-breaking medical research, family support and additional services with the aim of saving and improving the lives of babies, toddlers and children.
Previously she was Deputy CEO at a Sussex youth charity and before that, Interim CEO at an international charity based in Brighton, as well as holding senior roles with many national youth charities over the past twenty plus years. Her passion has always been working for charities that support children and young people. Donna is also Trustee of Grassroots Suicide Prevention, a Brighton based, national charity that campaigns for, and provide services for, those affected by suicide.
Over the years Donna’s work has won numerous charity and third sector awards for her work – campaigning for change, expanding rights of marginalised groups and supporting children and young people. In 2022 Donna was named a Woman of the Year – an award which recognises women from across the UK and around the world who are doing remarkable work and making a difference to others. Despite being a self-confessed introvert, Donna is a champion and outspoken advocate for social change and human rights.
Donna is also a roller derby player for Brighton Rockers and travels all over the world playing and representing Brighton in international games and competitions.
